Privacy policy

Last updated 20 October 2026.

This policy covers the Τεστ ΚΟΚ Ελλάδας app for Android (shown on Google Play in English as Greek KOK Theory Test, package net.mydrivingtest.greekkok), published on Google Play by the developer Irish App Services. Irish App Services is the controller of the personal data described here. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Irish App Services.

Summary

Data on your device

Your answers, results, saved mistakes, study language, settings and reminder preferences are stored in the app's private storage on your device so the app can show your progress. Removing the app deletes this data. If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include this app data in your device backup.

Study reminders are scheduled on your device after you allow notifications. We do not send push messages from a server. You can turn reminders off in the app or in Android settings.

Analytics (Google Firebase)

The app uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google. It receives an app instance identifier, a Firebase installation identifier, device model, Android version, app version, language, approximate location (city, region and country) derived from your IP address, the Google Play install source (how you found the app), app performance data such as session length and app start times, and events about how the app is used. Google does not store your IP address in Analytics.

Firebase records app sessions, screen views, first opens and app updates by itself, and records in-app purchases automatically, including the product, price and currency. The app also records app opens; your study language; finishing onboarding; starting and finishing practice and mock tests (with the test mode, the number of questions and the number correct); the number of options selected for an answer; viewing the premium screen and where it was shown; starting a purchase, completing or restoring a purchase, with the product; and content loading errors.

From version 1.0.5, the app also records opening the app from a link, and starting a restore or a restore that finds no purchase. Events do not include the text of your answers.

The app removes the advertising ID permission and sets Firebase ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation to denied. From version 1.0.5, the app also turns off advertising ID collection in Firebase on every Android version. In version 1.0.4 and earlier, on Android 12L and earlier, Android lets apps read the advertising ID without that permission, so Firebase may receive it there; you can delete or reset it in Android settings under Privacy > Ads.

Firebase processes this data on Google servers, which may be outside the European Economic Area. Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers. See Firebase privacy information and Google's privacy policy.

Crash reports and remote settings (Google Firebase)

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google. If the app crashes, Crashlytics sends a crash report with the error details (stack trace), device model, Android version, app version, free memory and disk space, device orientation, and a Crashlytics installation identifier. Crash reports may include the recent app events listed above, but never the text of your questions or answers. We use them only to find and fix errors.

The app also uses Firebase Remote Config to receive app settings from us. To do this it sends its Firebase installation and app instance identifiers, app version, language, country, time zone and the study-language setting to Google when the app starts, at most once an hour.

Purchases (Google Play)

Premium plans are bought through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy. The app asks Google Play which plans you own so it can unlock premium content and restore it on a new device. We receive the order details Google Play shares with developers, such as the order ID, product and purchase date, but never your card details.

Email and question reports

If you email us, or use "Report Question" in the app, your own mail app sends the message. "Report Question" addresses it to our support mailbox (in version 1.0.4 and earlier, to our separate question-report mailbox) and fills in the question number and study language. We use your email address and message only to reply and to fix the question.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers named above (Google Firebase and Google Play) so they can provide their services to us, or when the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal data.

Retention and security

Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months, the longest period Google Analytics allows for this data. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. Support and question-report emails are deleted within 12 months after the request is handled. Data sent to Google is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to analytics data is limited to our Firebase project, and data on your device stays in the app's private storage.

Your choices and rights

You can stop analytics collection at any time by uninstalling the app; a new install starts with new identifiers. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. Email support@mydrivingtest.net to use these rights. Because the app has no account, we usually cannot link analytics or crash records to a person; for purchases, a Google Play order ID helps us find the record. When we can identify records, we delete them within 30 days of your request. You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.

Children

The app is a study tool for people preparing for the Greek car theory exam (category B). It is not directed at children under 15, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes

We will update this page when the app's data use changes, and change the date above.
